PLACED Academy Alumni enables us to offer ongoing support to our Academy graduates (ages 15-25) as they embark on the next stage of their journey. Currently funded by PLACED, graduates can benefit from a range of additional support. You can read more here.
Alumni offers year-round work experience, mentoring, professional development workshops and speaking opportunities to help young people progress in the sector.

Industry Mentoring Opportunities
Are you looking for a greater insight into the built environment? Then consider signing up for the PLACED Academy Alumni mentorship programme!
As a mentee in our programme, you’ll get six months of 1:1 support from a trained mentor who works within the built environment. We will match you with a mentor based on your interests and the career you want to go into. You’ll also be able to meet industry contacts and have the opportunity to gain experience in the workplace. Our mentors can support you with guidance, career insight, higher education and networking.
If you’re 18 and over in the Northwest, you can apply to become a mentee and be matched with a mentor. We accept applications all year long, but the mentoring starts in September.

Student to Student Mentorship Opportunities
We’re opening applications for young people who are interested in being a mentee and being mentored by an Alumni Student Mentor.
Are you curious about higher education or the university process? As a PLACED Academy Alumni Student Mentee, you’ll be paired with one of our Alumni Student Mentors who is currently studying at university in a field you’re interested in, offering invaluable insight and support.
The programme will take place over three structured workshops. If this is something you think you’d enjoy and benefit from, apply to become an Alumni Student Mentee!

We’re also looking for students who would like to become a mentor to a young person in our Alumni.
Are you currently in university studying a built environment related subject? We are launching our new student-to-student mentorship programme and we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals like you! Remember wishing you could have picked the brains of current university students about courses, campus life, or what to expect before starting uni?
Now’s your chance to be that guiding voice for PLACED Academy’s younger Alumni. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership and communication skills while giving back.
