Established in 1988, Buttress is a leading design studio providing architecture, masterplanning and heritage services.
Based in a single studio in central Manchester, the practice is one of the largest architectural studios in the North West and operates across multiple sectors including, strategic masterplanning and regeneration, hotels, commercial and residential developments, schools, colleges and community hubs, ecclesiastical, heritage and cultural attractions.
The practice’s approach to design is founded on a shared belief that architecture is as much about people as buildings; and that buildings should be shaped by their surroundings, their role and the people who’ll use them.
